Well, Dianne and I WERE (as in past tense) high (8,450') and dry in Angel Fire, NM for the last month.
Drove home, arriving yesterday (first day the freeways were open through Houston) to check on the house. All OK-- no water got in ours. Since we are only a 5 minute bike ride from salt water, we have a pretty good drainage area (Galveston bay/Gulf of Mexico).
Will be spending a couple of days cleaning up debris in the yard-- guess I need the exercise anyway.
BTW, I 10 is still closed east of Houston.
