HURRICANE COMING
We have hurricane Florence on the way with 140 mph winds. Is it recommended to put the jacks down or keep the up? Thanks for any help from someone who has road one of the out. Bob

Here in central NC the stores are already bare as are the gas stations. I went for lawn mower gas yesterday and they were lined up getting gas and we are out in the country. Reminds me of up North when they predicted snow. I just bought a new to me DP and it is at an inspection place. My old one is at my other home up in MD. Not much I can do for them. Here in Florida, after one of the many hurricanes, the State mandated that many gas stations, and grocery stores, MUST have emergency generators to supply the public after the storm passes.
Weeks without power is bad enough but if you can't get fuel or other supplies after the storm passes, it can get a little uncomfortable.
It might be a good idea to check NOW if you will be able to get the basics from your local sources, if there is a major power outage after the storm.
If you evacuate and want to head back after the storm, be sure to carry enough fuel and supplies in case you can't get either in your home area.
