Canada dollars means $422 to repair each jack. That means $1700 Canadian for all 4. I know shipping from the USA to Canada and back is more expensive than straight shipping in the USA, but $1300 dollars???? I know that Leisure motorhomes in Canada will drive down parts orders just across the border to ship our replacement parts UPS to save money. Can you break down the shipping? Doug

The MAX charge per jack to rebuild at HWH is $322. Times 4 is $1300. I doubt shipping from Canada would cost $1700 for 4 jacks. Shipping in the USA would be about $25 each way per jack unless you bundled 2 at a time which would save shipping costs. Doug

Hey Wrong Lane, going into truck shop with a pit on monday. They say a couple hrs to pull off at then take to hyd repair shop. I talked to them and they say as long as they are not bent they can rebuild them. Note.. I've got one sticking and one rear leaking so I just decided to do them all. I'll let ya'll know how it turns out.

I would bet that Bucars RV doesn't do the work themselves. Most likely they send them out to a hydraulic shop, and then add a hefty mark up.

I guess the advantage of taking the levelers off yourself and taking them to a repair shop is that the shop doesn't see your nice rig and assume you have "money to burn"

Are you sure that all the hydraulic legs need to be repaired? It would be unusual for them all to go bad at once, but not impossible.

I guess that before I spent any money I would want a reliable diagnostic evaluation of the entire system. It would be a shame to spend big bucks on rebuilding all four legs only to find out the pump seals were bad or some other related problem.

The beauty of a motorhome is that the tinkering never ends.

Randallb has a good point.

You should have no problems finding a shop in Lethbridge that can service the leveling legs. Your city is the industrial hub of southwestern Alberta! If need be Calgary is only a couple of hours away!

Based on the rig in your signature I assume the warranty period has long since expired so why ship those heavy components to HWH?

You might want to get a quote from a local shop that includes removal, service/repair and reinstallation. That way the repair shop takes all the risk for any potential damage and air or dirt in the system.

HWH is booked up at least 2 weeks in advance this time of year. Perhaps call them back and see when you can expect a call?
