Hydralift

Anyone know the best way to look for a used Hydralift? I am guessing that many Class A's that had them may have been removed for new owners or those that no longer want them.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

    Stutch,
There are the obvious ones like ebay, Craigs list, etc. but you can also check on want-ads, other forums that have classifieds for sale (IRV2 for example). You can call some of the larger RV dealerships like La Mesa RV which has branches in a couple of states. I've seen them take off Hydralifts and sell them for as little as $800 in perfect working condition.

We found ours on ebay. It was on a pallet, all folded up. I could not tell if it was all there or not. So, an email to the seller and, soon we were talking. Well, one thing lead to another and, a deal was made. We did a road trip from San Diego to Scottsdale AZ to pick it up. We got it for a mere $1800.

I did the install. While a bit challenging at times, it was pretty fun to set it up. And, one thing I did that many have really liked, I set that Hydralift up so that it was removable. From start to finish, I could have that lift off the back of the coach in right at 5 minutes. That really makes it nice when engine/radiator maintenance or, any form of repairs need to take place.

Anyway, I'd check all possibilities or avenues in classifieds etc.

  • Found mine on Ebay for less than 1/4 of new price.....had to ship unit to TX..... still significantly cheaper. (about $2200 after install and freight )

I searched craigslist in your area and found this in NH but it's winch/cable operated. There are two on Ebay but far away and $3100+.
  • We bought our new Hydralift from Visone in KY, and when we decided to remove it we sold it back to Visone, so maybe they have other used ones to sell. Also eBay sometimes has some.
