Hydraulic Jacks HWH

Hydraulic jacks on Diplomat

Jacks stopped going down. When toggle switch is pushed I do hear a click in the rear, but jacks motor does not start. Relay or jack motor problem? Also at the same time dimmer switch for head light started acting weird. Turn it to brighten dash light and gauges change - same show higher some show lower example volts go from 13 to 11. Have a short somewhere I'm thinking.
  • Wondering if water from heavy rain got into a relay or solenoid. After few weeks jack started working again.
  • Just came back from RV. Jacks are working again was so excited and happy about that did not check to see if head light switch worked - the dim or brighten knob. Must have dried out something hope that does not happen again.

    Is the fluid level correct?

Fluid level will NOT cause the Pump to NOT operate. Doug
  • Batteries are good all electrical works. Trouble with head light switch started after a very heavy rain coming back from a trip. Got a new light switch thinking that was the problem. Like post said when it is turned to dim or brighten dash lights gauges change reading. New head light switch did not help. After coming back in the rain and parking the RV went to put jacks down and that is when they did not work. Left Gulf Shores and used them there. Thanks for replies.
  • Are you plugged in? Have you checked the converter or inverter/charger?
  • Are you POSITIVE it is an HWH system? Dips from that year used RVA jacks and if you hear a click, the odds are it is a bad motor. All you have to do is jump the 2 large terminals on the Solenoid. IF you have good 12 volt power and you jump the terminals the pump motor should run. Doug
