Is PPL Motorhomes closing?

Is PPL Motorhomes of Houston closing?

I routinely check out Class B's for sale there. There have been no additions to the Class B/C section in several weeks. So I started to check the other sections -- Class A, Diesel Pushers, and Trailers. No new RVs in stock there either.

Are they getting ready to close down? Or is it just that they have too much stock?

Regards,
EJB

  • And I initially thought you mean Pleasure Way Plateau for PPL until I Googled PPL. First I have heard of 'em

  • I doubt they are closing. They do have a LOT of inventory.
I drive by there every day on my way to work.
  • I'm looking there at some of those super pricey rigs and see the less expensive ones move pretty fast Wonder if they are getting overloaded with those $200k and above ones. I don't know about other folks but can't afford one like that but of course would like one if I could.
  • I like PPL, too, for parts and accessories. Hope they stay open. Good folks.
  • I certainly hope not. PPL is one of only two places I will buy from online. Great service.

I know, I am outdated, but that's the way I like it. I have earned my crotchy ways and I'm going to use them! LOL
  • Their web site says they recently opened a second location - seems in spring of 2012 - so that does not sound like a business preparing to close down. I suspect it has more to do with the time of year and market dynamics. Probably not alot of people thinking of selling their rig around the holidays.

Would not PPL be the ones to ask?
