Got that exact email many times, its a scam. 100%

Payments received by PayPal can be reversed. I would pass on that type of transaction. There has also been a few incidents of "fake" PayPal websites/accounts, etc. There were several incidents where buyers claimed that PayPal would "hold" the money until both parties were satisfied with the transaction. PayPal does not hold escrow funds, period.

Got the same (Military instead of Marine Biologist) when I sold my motorcycle and Auto. Both times it was in response to my Craigslist ad. SCAM Doug

When I receive one of these, I simply tell them that STATE LAW requires that I put the purchaser's name and address on the title BEFORE the title can be notarized! Therefore, I MUST have their name and address to fill in the blanks on the title.
STATE LAW REQUIRES IT! (By the way, that IS the absolute truth!)
Then, I tell them that I only deal in UNITED STATE CASH! The CASH must be placed in my hand by the person picking up the item. It is up to THEM to figure out how to do that.
Strangely, they seldom respond. Some will try to argue, and it is fun to string them along. Most don't bother.

I have sold 2 coaches on line and bought 2. In every case after I find the coach I want or the seller finds mine. We do everything over the phone. Talk to a real person. It works great. I even flew to CA and bought one. Great trip.

The "marine biologist" one has been around for a long time, and also been posted on these forums multiple times too. At least this one, he's not saying he's out to sea so someone else will have to deal with the financial transaction.

It's a scam.
