Jack stands on 7000 lb rear ax.

Was looking at jack stands that were 6 ton cap. ? good for a motor hm? with a 7000 lb rear end, using two of them.
  • I use 6 ton stands when I work on my HR. Make sure that the stands are the right height to use and extend under the frame. I also have a smaller set of stands for the axles. I also have a set of ramps which I prefer to use when I can.

(My kids are going to curse me when they have to get rid of all this junk someday.)
  • 6 tons is 12000 lbs.

if you use 2 of them, thats 24000 lbs.

if your rear axle is 7000 lbs capacity you are way overkill. Then again, thats what you want :)

As mentioned, just make sure they are the right height.
  • I used THESE stands along with this THIS jack. Used to carry them in the coach to level at a camp site before I added jacks to the coach.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Jack stands are rated for the pair! A pair of 6-ton jack stands will support a total of 6-tons, not 12-tons.
