Keyless Entry Troubleshooting

I have a Essex Keyless Entry system (KE-1603)that is not operating properly and I am having difficulty figuring it out. I took some time today to look at it. After playing with it and reprogramming it several times, I realized that it is unlocking when I give it the Lock Code (my own programmed code) and it is locking when I give it the Unlock code (559). In other words, it is bass ackwards. I'm thinking that I need to figure out a way to give it a full reset. Any ideas for me to try tomorrow?

    I usually just give in , if the time comes when the technology befuddles me. I have accepted passwords that were not mine just to end the controversy.
    If it works in reverse, just go with it, life is too short.( and so is my brother in law)
