Late 90s > 2000 gas class A

After almost 20 years of chugging up and down the road, regular maintenance and general condition are far more important than brand. Still, there will be ongoing issues. If you are handy with tools and have reasonable knowledge of things mechanical they should not be more than a minor annoyance.

Is which ones have the higher quality rating
Or maybe the question should be
Rank their quality and your satisfaction

Feel free to add in other models brands
Basement storage compartment space is paramount importance and a forward generator not under the bedroom is also nice

Really considering going back to gas from this DP
The cold bedroom, is getting annoying
So is spending $6000 or more every two years for repairs

Dw keeps telling diesel was not my best idea
She don't like the cold bedroom or the expenses
And if the wife ant happy, nobody is

We have a 96 Southwind, 454. No major problems, except for a roof leak that was my fault. I failed to check/maintain the EPDM roof regularly.
That won't happen again. I have since restored the roof.

The AutoPark system can be annoying but, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
I would take a 454, 460 or V-10. No real chassis preference. Condition would be the big factor.

Right now I'm just perusing Craigslist and evaluating the market

Did you check PPL Motor homes? They show the floor plan.

We have a 99 a Newmar Mountainaire with the V10. So far no major issues. Engine and Transmission have been great. Syn oil and trans fluid. Oil change once a year or 7500 unless I am in the mountains a lot. Trans is change out every two years along with the jack fluid which is the same as Trans. Gen is also syn so once a year. Water leak only two since we have it. One, the bath sink cracked and was replace with a home version and gray water drain same thing, crack and several hours working in a very tight space to cut out and put in new back to hose connectors. Rides good and wind does not blow it around. I did put on Air bags to stiffen up the suspension. Ride was too soft.

We have a 2000 Monaco Monarch w/ V-10. Good quality construction. We have been full-timing in it since May 2011 and have had no major problems. Engine and transmission powerful and smooth. Did put new tires on and had alignment done. If you get a Ford chassis, look up the "cheap fix" for the Ford chassis that improves handling. We did this front and rear.

National RV here with the V-10 127,000 plus miles and still going strong the House part is still in good shape fiberglass roof.

Not on your list but I'd add Newmar and the Holiday Rambler/Monaco twins.

I believe those are the only non-laminated offerings at the time. No lamination, no delamination.

I'd be careful on a Winnie of that vintage as they had that terrible roof design and were also prone to the windshield frame rusting.

2000 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 36 foot has served us well for 6 years. Bought it with 52k miles in 2010. 2 slides, 5500 Onan mid coach under the kitchen, decent size corner shower, V10 and my favorite part...aluminum roof. Also came with 4-6 volt battery bank with a xantrex inverter. Spent about 6k in 6 years on tires, batteries, slide seals, slide topper and rear leaf spring work(coach was leaning).
