leprechaun exterior kitchen

We have a new 2014 leprechaun 280ds. Of course the manuals are not particularly useful. We have the outside kitchen. When someone takes a shower the water bubbles up into the outside sink. 2nd question, there is a drain with a knob just inside the compartment for the outside kitchen, but not really sure of the purpose.

Any guidance appreciated.
