I think the inline ones that plug into the pedestal range from $100-$300.
For the batts, 6V are better generally if you're dry camping. But certainly not required. 12V are not usually "true" deep cycle. That being said, tons use them with no issues. 6V are wired in series, 12V are in parallel.
Also, you can usually buy the 6V batts at Sam's club or Costco for about $75/ea.
