LP appliances

I have a 91 Beaver motorhome and cannot get any of the LP appliances to work. Generator is also LP and works just fine. Turned the vapor valve on and off number of times. Disconncted the regulator at the bottom thinking it was the regulator. I did get some what appear to be oil drip out and could hear and smell the vapor. Any suggestions where my problem could be. No LP to furnace, hot water heater or stove top.

    I went thru this with our first one, a 1999. Seems they were very common back then, an electric solenoid near the propane tank, and a detector inside that controlled it and turned the propane off if it got a sniff.

    seems that got "cost reduced" at some point. Newer models, including our Knight, have a detector, but it only makes noise, doesn't shut off the propane.

    It seems it depends on where the tank is located.If the tank is in a spot where the manual valve is not accessable they put a remote electric shut off valve in the system.The idea of the LPG sensor controlling this valve is something I have never seen nor heard of before yesterday.

    See that's extremely interesting as I have never seen or owned a MH that had a electric shut off valve wired to the LPG sensor.learn new things every day
    In fact I cant shut off my LPG/CO sensor unless I cut off all power to the coach but there is no electric shut down valve on my bus at all.manual only
    I have seen electric remote solenoid to turn on LPG verses a manual valve though on some units

    Gosh, we leave our LP detector on all the time. Is there any reason to turn it off - other than for storage?

    rvten you are the man! The LP detecor was off. I turned it on and so for the hot water heater fired up and I was able to light the range top. The furnace has not come on yet but I am still working on that. We are in KY and it is cold here so my wife says many thanks.

    There may be a electric shut off vale in the propane line. Going into the inside of the coach. They are usually connected to the gas detector in the coach.
    Is it turned on?
