LP Generator won't shut OFF?

Hello all!

First Class A with an LP generator. It runs great...that's the problem. It won't shut down. I have the load off it. I have used the dash switch, the range hood switch and the switch on the actual generator. It is a 1998 Vintage. Only way to shut it off is to turn off the propane tank and let it run out of fuel.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Dustin
  • Thank you very much for the quick help! It is nice to know there are people who will take their time to help another.
  • Engine will not shutoff at the switch.
My manual indicates the set control start/stop switch (S1) is faulty.

Moving the switch to "stop" grounds 2 resistors, in the control circuit, which shuts off fuel and ignition.

Early models with "Spec A" designation, the shutdown is controlled by relay K5 on the control board.
  • I think that is pretty much how it is supposed to shut off only the switch should do it rather than you shutting off lp at the track
