Lubricate slideout seal?

I have seen this discussed often. Baby powder, WD40, 303, and silicone. I have used 303 and silicone. Silicone on the recommendation of a mechanical engineer that said the rubber soaks up the silicone, (it does make it more flexible, but that could be the petroleum distillates breaking down the rubber). Do not get silicone on EPDM roofing, distillates are very harmful. 303 because I use it on all rubber surfaces as UV protection. Have not used baby powder. Do a search and then make your own decision. Just my 2cents.

You could purchase a product that is specifically formulated to protect your seals. I've used this one on every RV I've owned and I've never encountered a seal problem.

Exactly correct. Any product with petroleum distillates in it is bad for rubber. 303 Aerospace is great stuff, as would be any product specifically made for seal lubrication. WD-40 and similar sprays are great on METAL but not on rubber, vinyl, wood, plastic or other similar materials.

Just follow the manufacturer's recommendation - not necessarily the installer's.

Many people still believe that WD-40 is made from fish oil. It is not, and never has been.

I wonder why people do not call the manufacture of slide seals, Vs going on line and asking for info?
Wouldn't the MFG know what should be used?

303 works for me!

I use Baby Powder on the seals and its easy to apply. Back sixty years ago or so, I flew rubber band airplanes. Always kept the rubber bands in baby powder to keep them fresh.

I've never put anything on my slide out seals and, I bought my coach new 11 years ago.
