Not sure but Im going to run the vin. I think I found one under a 89 ford F700 it looks exactly like the one I have from the pictures in O'Riley,I pick it up tomorrow.

F53 has EFI & 4 speed E4OD over drive tranny. Oshkosh has a carb & 3 speed C6 tranny.

I think the Southwind is on the John Deere (Oshkosh, later bought by Freightliner) chassis. If so here is a link to a parts book. http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/pdfs/PC2109.pdf

Freightliner used to be able to look up parts and had them. It has been a few years since my friend sold his JD based rv so I am not sure if they still help or not.

I repeat because it bears repeating.
Having a 1989 Southwind MOST LIKELY means it is on a 1988 chassis.
It is common for Motor home builders to buy a lot of chassis' ahead of production. IN order to ensure they have them for the start of their model year.
Fleetwood WILL HELP YOU determine the year of the chassis.
The 1989 year is the year assigned by Fleetwood to the completed unit.

Autozone show it, plus online Rockauto, so you should be able to find it local.

would also suggest to get new or a kit, due to a new one comes with a new container for the brake fluid. Rebuild come without.

didnt find it on their website do you know how to look it up?

Year 1989 Ford F53 Brake Master cylinder

You will have to look at the vin to be sure on the year.

I looked up 1988 ford F53 on Rock auto and found one. Is it yours? I do not know becuse I do not know which ford chassis your southwind is on..
BTW if your Southwind is an 1989 it is MOST LIKELY on a 1988 chassis

Couldn't you have a local auto machine shop just rebuild it?
