Maxx Force 10 Engine

We are looking at a 2013 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40DFT, 30,000 miles, and it is a beautiful coach, reasonably priced.

We want to change from gas to a DP.

The only problem is the engine, it is a Maxx Force 10 350hp, and I have heard some horror stories about Maxx Force engines.

Some say the problem engines are the higher horsepower engines in tractor-trailers, and the 350 RV engines are OK.

Has anyone owned this engine and what is your opinion?

If there are no engine parts being made, it is not a good buy at any price.

Yes the 13 is worse than the 10 but both give lots of EGR problems and DPF problems. Thereโ€™s a reason the price is good. With a complete EGR and DPF delete, itโ€™s a great engine.
