MCD Electric Windshield Shade Won't Retract

I'm diagnosing why my MCD electric windshield shade that will not retract. I'm familiar with the programming, I have power but no go. I would like to at least roll them up manually. Has anybody tried that, will it damage the internal motor?

MCD is located about 5 miles from us in McKinney, TX. I had to take some shades over to be repaired and the guy that helped me was awesome. He did the repair right there at the door entrance, on the floor, so that I could see how they went together. I would strongly recommend you give them a call and ask them.
