MHSRV (Motor Home Specialist) Dealership Texas

I bought my coach there. I felt that they made well worth the 10 hour drive on price plus they had an abundant inventory. The local dealers had no stock on the unit I wanted. I dealt with Jimmy Compana and found him very pleasant to work with. They fixed everything I found while there and were very pleasant to deal with. I have had a couple of other dealers work on other issues after I got home and I have not been impressed with any of the service departments. My coach builder (Thor) will let me take it pretty much any dealer for service even if that dealer does not sell any Thor products.

Ditto on dealing with Jimmy, we bought a unit from him. I wouldn't deal with Cowboy again.

99.9% of the people selling their used coach are asking too much. If they did not "low Ball" they would have a HUGE inventory of overpriced coaches.

I purchased an 07 Discovery on consignment. I paid 1/3 of the cost new. This coach only had 20K on the odometer and was spottless inside & out.

Had a very good experience with them. Note that you have next to ZERO wiggle room on consignment prices. I was told the rig just had the Texas safty inspection BUT I founf te right front wet hub was leaking like a sieve! I ended up having a guy with a pressure washer douse it down with simple green.

Drove the rig from Texas to NH. 110% satisfied with purchase. Oh, when I got back to NH I purchased new front deals & brake shoes from Freightliner. The shoes alone where ONLY $100/set!

Bought from there last September. Did most of the negotiating by phone, then drove down there with a choice to make between several coaches we liked. I echo the comment about low-balling the trade -- if I'd had the time or patience to sell our old coach myself, I would have, but even with the low trade, their price was unbeatable. They buy a LOT of certain lines and manufacturers, so I'm sure they get awesome pricing from the factory.

Just don't do like us -- we drove there from the East Coast, and FORGOT TO BRING THE TITLE to the used coach. Fortunately, we remembered it halfway there, had a neighbor with a key to our house FedEx it there overnight, and it was waiting for us when we arrived.

Really nice and accommodating bunch of folks. They encourage you to stay as long as you want, and their very thorough service department will keep fixing things as long as you're there.

We purchased our latest rig from MHSRV a little over a year ago. Best price - even when considering the low ball on the trade. The rig had more on it for less $ than anywhere else. Our salesman was Jimmy Campana. I appreciated how he interacted with both of us. If he didn't know an answer, he'd say so & then get on his phone & ask someone who could give a factual response. We talked & e-mailed with Jimmy before making the trip to TX & set a time to meet him at MHSRV. Without a doubt, I'd recommend checking in with Jimmy.

If you come in just to look, they give you a golf cart so you can drive around & look at the rigs. We were there to look & buy a specific rig so Jimmy took us directly to the Georgetown 378.

MHSRV has everything you need right there. From selling, financing, service & great set-up for transferring from your old rig to the new one. Covered sites - it does get HOT in TX! You can stay several days & make sure everything is good on your new RV.

It's my understanding that they are expanding the property to add a park so that more people can come to look at the inventory.

As for warranty work, warranties are only as good as the company that is issuing the warranty. Since we bought a Forest River, we have been able to get warranty work done as needed as we traveled. Warranty work or repairs doesn't always need done when one is at home. We wanted to make sure that we could get work done wherever we are & so far so good. We do visit CW in Chattanooga & appreciate the campground, store & especially the service dept at CW Chattanooga.

We bought our previous RV, a used Holiday Rambler Admiral from CW Chattanooga. Why'd we go to MHSRV? The rig we wanted with lots of extras for the lowest $. If CW would've had the same rig, we would certainly have checked in with them but the bottom line is what got us to stop in TX on our way to NM & trade.

Any dealer should be willing to do your repairs, etc. If not, find a better dealer.

you give them your drivers license, they copy it and give you keys to a golf cart and off you go.

We are in OKC...so about 4 hours away. Not a terrible distance...

We have shopped their on numerous occasions and did buy one new unit from them. They are great to deal with, HOWEVER, if you have a trade, be ready for them to LOWBALL the trade in price.....and they would not work with me at all on my trade. Outright purchase.....they were great !
