Michelin Cross Climate C Metric Tires

Looking for anyone who has any information on the C Metric Tires made by Michelin, Agillis Cross Climate on a Class C Motorhome. Looking for input on replacing tires on my Class C and am interested in the C Metric tires due to the Load Range Rating of 121 vs 115 on a LT Tire.

Be aware there are two types of these tires, one has a directional pattern and one has a generic pattern I ordered the wrong one thru Costco website, poor details and then had to ask them to order the correct unidirectional version. That being said we drove on them last summer with no issues

I'm a big fan of putting on Commercial (C) rated tires on my 30' Class C RVs. The 121 load rating provides for an extra 500lbs per tire to provide for a MUCH better weight buffer compared to the LT 115 rated tires (2000lbs more on the rear axle). I'm surprised how little the weight buffer is on a 14500lb RV on the rear axle with what the factory recommends (115 rated tires).

Having the 121s on the rear also helps a LOT in the event that your tire pressure isn't up where it should be (close to 80psi).

I have installed the michelin agillis cross climate tires on my 25ft 2008 Navion Itasca. I wanted a good all weather tire with proper load range for my RV. They were great in the mud on last trip. Had them for about a year. No issues or concerns for me so far. I would get them again if available.

This is one of those quirky things.

C type tires are a European based tire standard, where LT tires are a US based tire standard. Normally there is very little difference between European and US tire standards, but this is one of those exceptions.

Michelin is not the only tire manufacturer making these kinds of tires, but they are hard to find. Even looking on Tire Rack's website doesn't bring them up on a size search.
