Doing some research it seems like these are a known problem. Many failing after dewinterizing ( as ours just did). It really never gave consistant water temps.
Just curious if others have had this problem with this mixer valve. I was just told I should remove it and clean it every year. I tried to get the dealer to bypass it but they declined ( insurance reasons I assume).
It's almost $300
Couple of Shark Bites and you can by-pass it yourself - you should have a mixer valve in the shower so it is just a backup.
