Mosquitos this year

This is what we used last summer. It worked for us. All natural. Only issue is you smell like vitamen B1. Small price to pay for us to have no bites last summer. A patch lasts for several days.The Mosquito Patch

1 cheap bottle of mouthwash
3 cups of Epsom salt,
36 oz cheap beer

I just read this recipe yesterday someplace else...of course I can't remember where but it's funny to see it here again. It must be true!! lol

I am still to busy worrying about the ebola virus!

One recommendation,, Fresh DEET, I have found that fresh Deet works the best! I have some in my tackle box,glove compartment,trailer and at home. Also found that two year old deet does very little so I replace all my mosquito repellent annually.
Seems to have a longer lasting effect.

I have also made note that drinking copious amounts of Gin and Tonics seems to work,, T&Ts are my favorite summer time drink and after a few of these you can't feel the skeeters and the next day if you've consumed enough, it leaks out of your skin thru sweat and the skeeters won't bother you!! If I could actually put a pump sprayer on the Tanqueray bottle that might work,, but would be a waste of good Gin!!

Per the CDC: "Across the country, nearly 630 Zika cases have been identified. The vast majority — 618 — have been found in people who traveled to countries where Zika is more common. But 11 cases were reported through sexual transmission"

So 618 were contracted abroad, 11 via STD, which leaves 2 that "may" have gotten it from a mosquito bite domestically - and those have not been confirmed. 2. I really struggle with how the media has blown this into a pandemic. I bet it yields a nice bump in OFF stock though.

Mosquitos carry all sorts of bad things, the Zika virus is just one more nasty one to add to the list. I am always concerned more about Deer Ticks and possible Lyme Disease. Sometimes I feel like I'm a tick magnet. :(

Mosquitos and ticks, neither one are completely avoidable. We do what we always do to cut down on them while still enjoying the great outdoors and all nature has to offer. We do not live a sheltered life. Life is full of risks. Enjoy every moment of it! ;)
