I need two mufflers and a tail pipe that are rusted out on my 8.1 bounder. Does anyone know of a place I can have this done? I live in La Canada CA. I don't want to spend a ton of money on a full exhaust system. Thanks Tom

I bought a new muffler from Spartan and took it to a local rv mechanic and he installed it. I also bought a stainless exhaust tip on eBay several months later and installed it myself. All bolt on stuff! There are a lot of after market mufflers out there but after research the diesel engine mufflers were engineered to best operate as originally designed.

How many muffler shops within 10 miles? Any of them can fix you up.

I would go to a truck shop before going to an RV shop for this type of work. They'll have more experience and be cheaper.

no the rest of the system from the muffler to the manifold is fine. I was told that is stainless steel

There are a number of muffler shops on Foothill Blvd. from La Canada to Tujunga. Why not visit them all and get estimates? Anything else rusted?

I am thinking a muffler shop, a large truck repair center, even an auto repair center should be able to do the work or refer you to someone who can.
