Myrtle Beach Travel Park

What route off of I-95 do you use coming from the North? Do you like going on I-74 to Andrew Jackson Hwy. to NC-130,onto Us-701,to SC-9 than onto SC-22 to Kings Rd. OR go down to SC-38 Latta onto US-501 than merge onto SC-22 to Kings Rd...
  • Thanks for the answers I will try the I-74 to 410 route on this trip!!!!

Actually to the Travel Park. Getting off at 74, to 410, to 701, to 9, to 22, to Kings Road is much quicker from the North.

Going to 501 you will actually have to pass the Travel Park to the South, and then run 22, or 31, back North to get there. So just save time, and get off at 74. It's an easy ride, with good roads. The 2 lane part is only about 30 miles, and there are places to eat, and get gas. When we go to North MB, and the travel Park. It is our route of choice.

BTW. 74, is a interstate like, road as well. It is in fact Future I-74.

Terry, Since I'm using 220 from the north, I usually run 74 for a few miles from Rockingham to Hamlet then 38-501. Would staying on 74 to 410 be faster for me? Randu

I would use 410, as I say. That route does empty right on to Kings Road, which is where the CG is.
501 takes you South to Downtown MB, amd you will have to come back North to get to the Travel Park. HoweverIf you are gong to OceanLakes, PirateLand, or Lakewood. Run 501.

And YES I did leave out 31, which takes you to 22
  • terryallan missed one route--- SC 9 to SC31 to SC22 then straight to Kings road to MBTP
  • Between my golf group and our travels over the years, we have found terryallans' route to be the quickest and easiest to get to MBTP. In fact, I'm just back home from there and that's the route I used.

  • I think they are almost equal in time, but sc38 & us501 is much simpler with fewer turns. IMHO David
  • Didn't you ask that two days ago? I don't think the roads changed that much since tuesday.
