NAVION iQ Fresh Water Tank Drain

We recently purchased a new ITASCA NAVION iQ 24 G. On our first trip, all went well except for the fresh water tank drain mechanism. On the first pull of the release handle the drain did not open and all that came out was about 2 feet of wire attached to the release handle. We have been waiting about 3 weeks for "replacement parts" from Winnebago.

Anyone have similar problems with other Itasca or Winnebago Class C's?

The owner's manual is not clear - is there a "proper" way to drain the fresh water tank?

Thanks for your consideration.
  • sounds like you have a "buried" valve and a long wire to pull to open it. but how do you close it? it is difficult to push a wire (or chain).
    bumpy
  • Is that handle for the fresh water tank or the gray water tank?

Thanks for the tip on the valve. My owner's manual doesn't deal with the wire "pushing" anything.

Fresh water tank. Both the gray and black handles work fine, neither is connected to a wire.
