Call Newmar at their 1-800- number with the last 5 of the vin. they will know

All Newmar tanks for the era are vented, they have an overflow vent in case they are over filled, you need not open any other method to vent when emptying. The tank emptying valve should be next to the water heater valve in the service bay.
And yes they drain slow, it's just a 3/8" plastic line.

For your second question, there should be a wire lanyard tucked in near or behind the rear passenger wheels and and possibly another near the front air tank.

DO NOT GO UNDER THE MH TO PULL THESE!!!! Use a long rod (like the awning rod) as the chassis will drop down considerably and fast.

Now there is a debate about whether on not you need to do this as your air system is supposed to purge the water from the system. Some people do and some never have, there is a discussion on one of the forums.
Some pull it to confirm the purge system works, others do it on a regular basis and some never do it - up to you.

They also tend to stick open and can be a real pain to close - be warned.

I've got a 2003 DS vice Mountain Aire but I assume the fresh water drain would be near the same place.

In my water bay, left side and back and behind the white panel (there is about a 3x3 opening - so you have kneel), there is a simple valve. It's hard to see without a flashlight and hard to reach.

It will dump the fresh water tank.On mine it is very slow, 100 gallons takes an hour or two to dump (also have the faucets open to allow air behind water).

I have a '02 Winnie Journey DP and there are two pull cables under the front...you have to turn the front tires to the left to see them, the pull handles are on the passenger side. But they are near where the tank is...which is under the front hood. I'm surprised they put that pull handle and cable remote when they should have just put it near the tank where I could just push on something under the hood. But...it's their design.

I couldn't find mine either and eventually got down on my back and looked underneath nearby where the tank filler was. It seemed logical that the tank filler would be near where the tank was. Looking up underneath, I located a little pipe and a plastic valve in a bit of an indent under the cover. I have to reach through the stairs to open mine.. not the best, but that is where it is.
