Need a new water pump

I checked to make sure it was getting 12.8 volts from the switch. It was. Just to make sure, I used jumpers to hot and ground. Pump was not pumping!

I need to take this back to CW. Do I swap it or get some other brand that people have had good luck with?

Any thoughts?

I had to replace a pump that was five years old. It blew a seal and was leaking all over the place. But, there was plenty of amps available to run it just fine. I replaced it with the new pump as I was heading out early Friday and was short on time. The new pump was working just fine when installed. I got about 250 miles away to Las Vegas and the pump decided to quit working or making any noise at all.

There are 12 gauge lines running to the pump. And the new pump had 12 gauge leads. I cut of the ends and stripped back the insulation about 3/8" and used one of those crimp hats to put the wires together. No corrosion and good contact. I used test leads straight off the battery for testing. No more pumpy!

So, I need a new one but for $200 I am less than pleased with this particular model. So, looking to see if I just got a bad one or is there another pump I should be looking at.
