Need advice on travel plan.

We are currently In Santa Fe, headed towards the Grand Canyon. Guess we didn't plan well. Have difficulty getting a site, south rim.

Any advice? I ask here because I have a 38' Monaco, and I travel with a parrot. I need to have hookup, must run air.

Should I skip the canyon, and head to Vegas, the Dam, and swing back?

Should We maybe go up to the 4 corners, and can those road accommodate our size rig. Just really confused, and looking for some advice.

Many thanks.

a Be sure and go through Bryce Canyon and Zion!!!! Absolute must!!! There is a large campground right on the north rim. Another near by RV Park is in Glendale. The north side of the canyon is beautiful. I would call and try to make reservations as soon as possible. Go to the RL Directory or use their book to get the names of the rv parks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the large campground right on the north rim does not have hook-ups as I recall? I believe the closest campground to North Rim with full hook ups is in Jacob Lake?

Here are 3 RV camp grounds in the area you want with full hook ups:
    1. Bauers Canyon Ranch
    888-648-2564
    2. Bryce Zion CG
    435-648-2490
    3. Zion RV camp ground

  • If you have the time and can get a reservation later, then yes that is what I would do. We went through 4 corners a couple months ago with our rig and thought the roads were fine as long as you take your time and don't try to drive interstate speeds on them.
