need to buy captains and copilot seats

Has anyone bought Captains and Copilot chairs from a company called "shop 4 seats com"? They seem to have good prices and are a lot less expensive than Flex steel. Anyone had experience with them. Good or Bad? I would like to hear from you. I need to buy new captain and copilot seats for my motor home.

  • Do they sell seats for the navigator and weapon's officer as well?

    Sorry, couldn't resist.
  • Used seating can be found at this RV salvage dealer.

    Salvage Parts

They have hundreds of Class A units of many year models.

I have purchased from them and they ship. I have never been disappointed in the quality.

I bought seats from them several years ago when they were going by Discount Van and RV. I had good service and good quality for the seats. They are made in California and they will custom make the seats to your specs, like they did for me, if you want.

  • Mel,
I've dealt with shop4 seats.com and had a very good experience. Didn't have chairs made but I decided to remove my two original recliners of marginal quality and replace them with a sleeper sofa - the type that kinda works like a futon. They easily upsized it from a max 78" to 84" so I could sleep on it whenever I've been bad; i.e. frequently. The additional charge of $130 was to reinforce the chassis which I thought was reasonable. They added in a drawer to hold the foam topper. THIS is what I ordered and it came in exactly as expected.
Shop4Seats keeps up a good communication also. You'll know when the furniture is expected to be built, when it'll ship, etc. They handle all the shipping. I had it shipped to my residence. The sofa was wrapped in plastic and a crate was built around it. $200 total for shipping which was also reasonable - especially to a residence. Can't say the delivery guy was real happy but I had to play the bad knee & bad back card.
Received it in April 2014 and we just came back from our 3 month summer road trip and are still happy with the sofa.
    Hope this helps.
  • Thank You for the info. I have sent them 3 emails to their sales department, and have not gotten a reply. If this is the kind of customer service I can expect from them, Then I will go elsewhere. I will try to call them tomorrow. If no answer, then I will go to a Flexsteel vendor. at least they answer their emails and I got replies from two of them that I sent emails to this morning.

  • Well, that stinks!
I'm going to be replacing my two chairs as well next year so, please, post again with your end results.

I called them on the phone today and got a hold of a man called Alex, he was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I ordered from them online today. No problem. I don't know why my emails were not replied to. I did open a account and maybe that will help in the future. I got the 2 captains chairs in the color and material that I wanted, plus the optional 7 spring seats. $960 including shipping and handling. Should be here within 6 weeks.
