New 2 me class A

our local dealer has a 2008 Hurricane that I am interested in. He sent me a bunch of pics yesterday and in the first pic of the front passenger side above the window there looks to be some ripples or waviness in the fiberglass. I would post the pic but not sure how to? Anyway would it be worth even going to look at this unit or is that a definite run forest run sign?
  • Don't base your decision on photos. Could be something as simple as a reflection of something in the clearcoat. I have found that delamination often doesn't show up in photos It is posible that what you are seeing is a deal breaker or it might not be. Only "eyes on" will tell.

Go look at it, that doesn't cost a cent!

If it is seperation or delamination then there may be a serious problem. As SCVjeff and timac have said - find out exactly what the problem is before making up your mind.

Entry level RV's are not perfect, and this may very well just be normal out of the press fiberglass panel imperfections, some worse than others. Additionally, it can look way worse depending on the light. Get it looked at by someone who knows what they are looking at if you don't

Took the words right out of my mouth, yes imperfections is what I thought it could be, my bounder has a few, not to bad but looking at it in the sun at a angle it looks wavy, no moisture issues just the way it was built.

  • They are entry class coaches nothing will be perfect.

My Sister has one they have had more trouble with it than we have had with our 13 year old Newmar.
  • sounds like delamination, probably from the awning brkts.hurricane uses brkts mounted to the roof and side wall any missed or failed caulking water will wick in.check wall around front and rear awning brkts.if you see delamination time to move on.

    good luck
