I am going to install a new awning today that was ordered from awningsrvmart.com, the instructions on cover putting the cord end in with the valence, nothing about pre tensioning the spring and slidin...
2 person job, careful of that spring end, you can be HURT. Slide top and bottom in at the same time. You may want to drill the pop rivets out at the opposite end of the roller...then you won't have to worry about the spring end. After the awning is in place, put a screw in the rail at each end of the awning material so it does not move back and forth. Put the end back on using pop rivets or screws. Others will have some good advice as well.
