This is the picture of a sidewall of one of the affected date range tires that I had a rumble with Michelin to replace on my 6/2010 chassis build E450 about a year ago. The cracks were worst at the tread-sidewall joint.
I paid 20% of the replacement cost plus mounting and balancing for the new set. Which I now need to check dates on since June 2012 tires could certainly have still been in the supply stream in six months later for the replacement 6.
