We started as a Newbie in 2002 as a young family and decided on a Class C after a couple of RV shows. Did not want to wait until retirement and miss out while children are young and we still had our health.
Always a risk buying used just like a car so we decided to purchase new. We chose a Winnebago Minnie 29B with 2 slides, due to its reputation for quality but we do annual maintenance ourselves. Slides still work and no leaks. We had leaks over the cab buy caught it in time and did our own repairs. DIY mentality, annual maintenance, and positive attitude will go a long way. Mindset and attitude is key to enjoying this lifestyle since unexpected events will occur, flat tire, leaks, dumping mishaps, getting lost, etc.
We had great long distance and short distance road trips with plenty of memories over the last 18 years. Grown children still loves it. Yes we still have the RV and still enjoy it.
