No Bright Headlights, Sometimes

Switch failure or bad ground.

I would be suspect of the turn signal switch.

I would think everything after the switch would be the same for those two functions so the switch is the most likely culprit.

Switch is the culprit. They are a common failure point on cars and trucks as well

I agree with the switch diagnosis.

Thanks for the suggestions. However, the obvious solution is to turn the headlight switch all the way to the right. Boy, it's tough getting old. ????

Had that same 'problem'. That is the solution.;)

We need these easy fixes from time to time.
To keep us going.

Guess I'm getting old. The high beams switch and the dash lights are two different things. Pushing the turn signal forward activates the high beams. Pulling it toward you activates the high beams only while you have that lever pulled. It's used to flash the high beams. Turning the switch has nothing to do with activating the high beams.. I'd say the switch in the turn signal is bad......Dennis
