No coach power with batteries in coachman santa class A

We have a 1999 coachman santara class A 38'. We have no couch power when using the batteries. We do have shore power. Had to start the generator.. but it is having issues starting.. hubby was trying t...

Just so you know, when you start the generator, you should let it run for a minute or so before you use power. It is not supposed to be under load when it is started. That could also be why it won't stay running. Shut all electric appliances off - then try to start and after running, then turn electric items back on.
