Almost all Class B RV's have a permanently mounted propane tank with a remote fill and a remote shut off valve operated by a solenoid, including the Winnebago ERA the OP owns. You almost never crawl under the coach to turn off the valve, instead you turn off the flow with one of usually two remote switches that operate a solenoid.
There is no requirement for an OPD on a permanently mounted tank.
OP may have a solenoid shut off.....which will need DC to open. If solenoid shut off it could also be tripped by LP Detector
As for the OPD------Over Fill Protection Device (Name used for new service valve on 'cylinders'
BUT ACME 'Tanks' have had this device for many years. Auto Stop Fill Device (Not called OPD as that is for cylinders but same type of device/idea)
Internal float that lifts up as level rises closing off filling of vessel at 80% liquid level
Part of Fill Connection on permanent tanks (just one component of service valve on cylinders)
Tank Fill Valve (various sizes depending on tank capacity)
