- wa8yxmExplorer IIIWOW, I drive a 2005...
Front TV in overhead will not work if engine running (or ignition on) this is due to a little thing called Federal Law.
Rear TV however should.. NOW: depending on the options and after market installs
IF you are running on Generator check the breakers on the genny... On shore power check the mains, also the breakers in the panel inside the coach.. (Mine came with a Progressive Dynamics breaker panel.. I like it, very nice) do not trust your eyes FEEL for a tripped breaker.. Odds are that is the problem.
I Doubt the TV's are on the GFCI, but check that too (or those if you have 'em)
IF you have an inverter,, Make sure it is ON and enabled.. In my case I have an after market inverter (Xantrex Prosine) If the switch on the inverter is OFF, no power passes through to the TV, Microwave or GFCI, if it's on then shore power passes through if it is both on and ENABLED battery power can power the things I just mentioned.. For quite some time in my case (Over 500 amp hours of battery) .
Check for breakers ON the inverter, My after market has none but .. .there is a 2nd breaker box (Square D this time) hidden in a cabinet behind the main box.
Beyond that.. I need hands on to help shoot a problem like this, and quite likely test gear I left 800 miles north of where I am today. - hersheyExplorerOn MH's in general, the TV console will not work while the engine is running or key in the run position. Yours is probably tied into that same process to prevent you from running down the road and watching TV.
On some MH's (my Fleetwood Expedition for instance) has two 110 volt outlets to plug in my TV's. One will operate as described above and the other is directly wired to my inverter and shorepower so it provides constant use regardless of engine or generator use. - cochise49ExplorerCheck circuit breakers on generator. Had one go bad. Also, a bad automatic transfer switch (ATS) can allow one leg to work on the genset and the other to not work.
