No power to gen fuel pump

Hello all,

There is no power at the wires that run to the fuel pump of the Marquis Gold 7000 generator (model # 7hgjab-900c) in my 2004 Tiffin Allegro Bay Class A motorhome.

I have looked but am unable to locate any fuses or circuit breakers in the circuit.

Does anyone know where the fuses/circuit breakers are located?

Thank you,

Terry Yount
  • I went back out to the MH this Morning. Genny cranks, but there is no powed to the Fuel pump even while cranking.Pump will not prime either. Are there fuses that could be blown, or is it a circuit board issue?
  • If starter works then you have power. Follow Doug list to do for the rest since you do have power, just not to the pump.
  • Thanks MountainAir05, I will double check the positive terminal of the battery. I think the one that starts the genny is the chassis battery. Doug, I have not checked the fuel pump pos. wire while cranking the generator; only without cranking the genny.I will definitely do that tomorrow. Yes,the Onan starter spins the engine. Thanks for your reply.Terry
  • On Onan, you should be able to push and hold stop and the fuel pump will run(prime mode) If it does NOT, then the odds are the Circuit Board has a bad spot. Have you checked the fuel pump POS wire with a voltmeter when attempting to start? Doug

PS, does the Onan starter spin the engine?
  • Depends on which battery start you generator. House or chassis. Ours are house and the positive battery terminal connects to the starter on the generator. So if you have no power check the batteries first.
