No water pressure

I have a mystery. I am connected to city water an have NO pressure. With the pump turned on pressure is ok. Last night I thought that maybe my pressure regulator was clogged so I took it off. Problem fixed. Got up this morning and no pressure again. What is going on?
  • Thanks for all the advice. Everything considered I am going with the check valve. Going to look into that in the morning.
  • City water inlet screened washer.clogged
City water inlet internal check valve failed

Both f the above are PRIOR to RV cold water line plumbing which pump and city water both feed.
So if pressure with pump is good then issue is OUTSIDE of RV with the city water connection/supply and or valving
  • Faucet screens are clogged.
Yup been there did that I called for a service call on my pump because I had NO water coming into the coach.

The first thing the service guy did when he walked in was to open the aerator on all the faucets. Tiny pieces of sand had plugged all the holes and on all the faucets. Go figure.

These CG wells are far from being new or up to date. Sand is what probably did your regulator in also. I stopped using regulators for this reason. Everyone wants to blame the brand of regulator I blame the CG well filters, i.e. sand.

I clean my screens just about weekly depending on how many CG's I have been in on my travels of fulltiming. I find sand in them all the time. So what you all think is low pressure is probably sand starting to build up. Doesn't take much to reduce water flow in our small RV faucets.

Clean all the screens you will most likely have pressure right away. :C
  • I'd look for a screen past your pressure regulater. Once you removed that, the sediment is going to go somewhere
  • Been to some parks, that during certain periods of time when the park can not keep up with the demand of water. To many people using water at the same time.
