I have become a victim of Murphy's Law.
We are have been getting ready to leave to head South, we ususally turn on the fridge, a day or so befor we leave. We don’t have electric where we store the motorhome so the fridge if not running while parked.
The last time the fridge was on was in September, and it worked fine, today I attempted to turn it on and I get nothing. No power, the light doesn’t even come on. I checked the 12 volt fuse, checked the breaker and tested the outside electric outlets. I have power to both outlets, but none to the fridge.
I have had the recalls done over the years and during one of the recall, a small box with 5 wires was installed. After the installation, the fridge ran for a day and then quite. I called the place that did the recall and they told me to jump two wires so that I could get it running temper airily, until the unit they installed could be replaced. This was several years ago and the trick worked until I could get the unit replaced. The problem is I lost my notes and can not remember what to wires to jump. We are leaving Friday and I would like to get it running until I can get to an RV repair shop.
I don't know if this is the problem or not, but I figured I'd try it.
Anyone have any suggestions.
