I don't want to be argumentative but can you explain why you would want to use one year old oil filters vs. new, or at least newer than what you are carrying?
Just imagine that you like to eat bananas and like to keep a fresh stock of bananas in your kitchen. Do you eat the freshest ones first when you get back from the grocery store?
We also carried extra fuel filter's just as you did Holstein13. I would rotate the 'extra's and buy new ones to hold until the next change which was about once a year.
We never had a problem with the 'one-year-old' filters.
Currently, I don't have extra's for the new coach, it's on the list to pick up.
