oil filter

i have a 2014 Itasca Sunstar class A with the 6.8L 3 valve Triton V10 eng. I,am not sure of the best oil filter to use. any suggestions appreciated.
  • Regardless of vehicle, I always use OEM filters. They built the engine and know the requirements. Usually if you buy a few the price is about the same as the aftermarket brands, which are not always equivalent.

    05 travel Supreme Envoy
    CAT C7 (with CAT filters)
    Honda Accord (with Honda filters)
  • Many years ago the market was flooded with fake oil filters from China.

As a result I go to the dealer to buy my filters.

Chevrolet dealer for my coach and Toyota for my car.

I'd suggest you go to a Ford dealer.
  • You can order the Motorcraft filters from Walmart on line for way less than the dealer sells them for. Free shipping and pick them up at the store. Where the sell the Motorcraft oil too

Oh by the way, that Toyota oil filter your buying, at the dealer, is made by WIX Corporation in Gastonia, N.C.

    WIX is a fantastic brand!
  • 2001 F-53 V-10. IMO it matters not what BRAND you buy...as long as it is a KNOWN brand. Fram, Wix, Purolator, etc., etc..
What DOES matter is a schedule of oil/filter/lube changes...and stick with it.
I continue to use 10-30 fossil (NAPA) oil and stick to changes every 3000 miles. There are times when, like on a "snowbird" run the oil goes for 5000 miles or so. But, upon getting home, it gets changed...no harm done. 51,000 miles.
  • WIX is a good filter been around for years, they make filters for NAPA
