I am on a waiting list to get covered storage. Until its available the coach will be in outside storage with only 20 Amp service available.
My 2000 Bounder DP, has 30 AMP service. What I'm asking is if I put a 30 amp to 20 amp adapter on the electric hook up and turn off all 110 in the coach except for the 458 inverter/charger,will this hurt anything, and will it keep the batteries charged? In another post I asked about if the chassis batteries get charged at the same time. Which is still unclear to me, but after driving 3670 over the last six weeks, the alternator kept them well charged
Some coaches have the ability to charge the chassis battery after the house is fully charged, but not all. Some have an EMS with a sw. for 20 amp limitations, so that one might not trip the shore breaker. Either way, count the amps and turn off accordingly. 20amps should even run one A/C if you do it right.
