Even though I store my Sahara at the local RV shop, I went looking for another option for service (local RV shop charges $140/hour shop rate). The local truck service place has a terrible reputation. I found another diesel truck repair place, but they wanted nothing to do with motor homes, and it seems they're not alone. Truck service shops are not used to having to keep the work area clean and some don't want to deal with the extra work to do so.
I had some CAT specific work done at the local CAT shop and while it was there I had them service the engine and chassis, but they wouldn't do the extra stuff, like replacing zerk fittings. I had them do the valve lash adjustment and filters and belts.
Luckily, because I store the rig at the local RV shop, I can wait for service to get the winter rate, but it's still expensive.
