Now that I have my LTV, I want to strain the budget a little more and get a carport/garage for it.If you have one, could you share your dimensions? Finances decree that it be as small as possible, but not so tiny as to require greasing up the van to get it to fit inside. I'm thinking of one of those metal ones, with partial side walls and, hopefully, a roll-up door as well.As always, suggestions/what worked/what you would change/ eagerly anticipated from this friendly, helpful community.

Had one installed last month 31 by 18 with 9 ft legs makes it over 12 high in the middle $1700 by Carolina Carports . They did a nice job. Good investment to protect the trailer from the sun and rain.

I have a garage for my toys that is 1250 sq ft and it isn't big enough. I know that is bigger than you want and more expensive than you are looking for, but my point is whatever size you THINK you need, go bigger.

So it looks like 10 x 26 is a bit tight, and 12 x 28 or 30 would work better for the Sprinter. 10' tall side legs seems to be what most suggest.

Huge would be nice, but the budget just won't stretch that far. I'm lucky to be considering any kind of a shelter at all, but I believe it's the best way to protect my investment in my B.

I really appreciate all the input, especially about places to contact about the garage. All input is very welcome. It's great to see what others have done to take good care of their Bs.

And, yes, we actually do have our own little dump station with its own mini septic system. Very convenient.

I actually did take care of that. I purchased a macerator pump for the black tank and had the plumbers install a pipe that joins the existing waste pipe in the garage bathroom.

Great idea for the hookups and if it is possible to install a dump, that would be equally awesome!

My suggestion. Since its cheaper to do it once than to do it over, plan the garage bigger than the biggest 'A', at least twice as wide for tools, workbench, power tools and storage for RV related items, enough power and wiring to supply 15, 30 and 50 Amp outlets, lights for night time and heat for winter time. "Stuff" tends to multiply to fill the space allotted to it. If you can't do it all at once, at least build it as big as I've suggested. The rest can be added as your wallet allows.

In SoCal where you live, get a Green Sheet / White Sheet. You can find free at convenience stores or even online. I recall several ads there. Sorry just checked they are only in my area but the Recycler or craigs list may help.

If we had the land, we'd be having Tuff Shed make us one to fit our PW. Sure wish we had the land, as they are beautiful and well made and can stand up to those darned Santa Ana Winds.

We're in the process of building one now! We also have a smaller Class B, but our plans would hold any of the LTV units.

They're scheduled to start work on the footings for the uprights next Monday. I'll be watching this thread closely in case I forgot something!
