I had the exact same problem on the 2007 Winnabago 24v I just purchased. I removed the front decal, as it was in bad shape. That was a chore. Then I buffed out the fiberglass, which totally erased the ghosting from the previous rental logo. All it was was a difference in gloss levels from oxidation. I used a rotary buffer and some meguiar's fiberglass restorer. After the buffing, I put on a generic new vinyl graphic I bought for $20 online.
I then used a deep application of Aerospace 303 to protect the finish on the vinyl and the fiberglass. Looks like new and you can't tell it was ever a rental. No big deal and no paint needed on mine. Hope this helps.
