Potential AC Converter Problem

I am away from home traveling near Farmington, NH.
My house batteries are not charging either by generator or shore power.
I am plugged into 50A shore power and power is available in the coach as displayed by my microwave display "blinking".
My refrig will only run on propane.
Four AC outlets work, two don't work.
I looked at the converter and the two 30A fuses were blown.
With the converter AC power cord unplugged, I tried twice to replace the 30A fuses. No luck, the fuses blow as soon as I try to insert them.
My converter info: PARALLAX Power Components 45 Amp
Series 7400, Model #7445
Input: 105 - 130 V
Output: 13.8 VDC

I have followed the black power lead back to the 12V power panel and see nothing obvious. The two green cables going into the converter have tight connections.

Do I have a malfunctioning converter?

Low voltage will not damage a quality converter (Source Progressive Dynamics flyers,, You see, they make one of the best, There is no one "Best", There are several best, theirs among them)

But a shorted converter will blow the reverse polarity fuses too.
Most common cause though is batteries installed backwards.

And never say "Factory installed so not possible to be wrong".... Else you might tempt me to start listing things done wrong by factory/dealer/both.

Problem Update...Solved
My house batteries were replaced 2 weeks prior to this AC/DC converter problem and converter worked fine up till now.
The converter was original installed equipment so there was no incorrect connections made to "blow" the two 30A fuses.
I contacted a Parallax engineer and he stated that with power cord disconnected and fuses blowing upon insertion, then the converter was most likely malfunctioning. He also recommended that I replace with a Series 4400 converter.
I believe what blew my converter was a low voltage situation. My last 50A plug in was at a relatives house. After hookup, I noticed that power to the coach would turn "on" and "off" periodically. I disassembled the box and discovered that one wire leg had pulled out of the socket. I reattached the wire but the damage had been done.
I ordered a converter from Tweetys.com (Texas) that afternoon and was advised of a 3-5 day delivery. The converter arrived the very next day from a warehouse in PA. Talk about a nice surprise.
Great service and the problem was resolved an hour later.
Thanks to all that responded.

Those are called reverse polarity fuses.. Have you had the batteries out recently? Did you put 'em in backwards? My guess is.. You did.

NOTE: once you get it working.. Get two small cans of Spray paint (or big ones if you like) One red, one black.

On the + (Pos) end of the battery spray the cables RED
Use black on the - (NEG) end

Use a volt meter to be sure before you spray.

Those two 30A fuses on converter are the 'Reverse Polarity' fuses.

They blow when battery cables/cables at converter have been installed wrong.

BUT

IF you have not changed batteries, done any work requiring cables to be removed.........converter has gone into 'over current mode' or is defective.

Blowing the fuses with correct cable position....converter is bad

Here is a guide for testing converter (different model but test works for any converter).......LINK

The two 30A fuses i think are the REVERSE POLARITY fuses for the battery terminals. Can you verify the battery terminals are put on correctly.

Find the word "NEG" or the SYMBOL '-' on the battery case and make sure that is the terminal that goes to frame ground.

You may have a third in-line fuse blown next to the battery as well...

Just a thought..
