Power Gear Leveling System Low Voltage Light

We have a 2008 Fleetwood Discovery with the Power Gear leveling system. When I tried to stat the process of leveling the coach, with the coach engine running the low voltage light came on. I assumed my batteries were low. Had our generator on for four hours plus I had charged the batteries before I put them back in but still get the low voltage light.

Is there anything else I should check? Are my batteries just not charged enough?

Thanks,

Gary
  • You need to measure the Voltage AT the Pump Battery connection at the solenoids. NOT just measure the voltage at the batteries or anywhere else. When you have this type problem you ALWAYS measure the voltage at the appliance connections. All the PG system is telling you is---It senses low voltage, which is accurate. You may have loose or corroded battery cable connections--this is the most common cause. Both at the batteries and at the PG pump assbly. Doug

I had a question about my Power Gear control pad. I went to the company's web site and used it to email them the question. They emailed back and answered my question on the same day.

Same here, they are very responsive.
