Pry Off Wheel Simulators?

I have a 2008 Coachmen Freelander 3150SS. I am trying to remove the wheel simulator on the left rear dual and I'm not sure how to go about doing this. I have read several posts on the topic but still cannot find an answer. From what I have read, there should be two lug nut covers that have some kind of marking or flange to differentiate them from the others. These are the two to remove in order to remove the simulator. Well, all of my eight covers are identical and tapping them produces no noticeable difference in sound. None sound more solid than the others.
Is it possible that I have a different type of simulator, one that pries off, o0r am I missing something real obvious.
We are headed to Bristol for the race Friday morning and I would like to have this resolved before hitting the road.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Ill keep my squeaky simulators, spent to many years driving BIG trucks with painted wheels, gotta have some Bling on my RIG :C

I made many trips thru your part of the country, sure liked it down there.

Fact is, we are quite fond of hubcaps 'round here...in times not too far past, our roadsides were gold mines for finding wheel covers shaken loose from lousey pavements. Proud to say the situation is much improved in recent years.

C'mon back when you can and 'pass a good time!'

Yes I know, having taken many oversize loads from the west coast to Florida and have lost a few fillings on that road, it is a lot better now.

I always enjoyed getting to Baton Rouge. We would transition from I 10 to I 12 and meet up with our Cajun escort, Duck, Honest that was his given name, He showed me his License so we could make out all of the paper work. He would always say " I will meet ya'll in Baaa Tawn Roo" Yep I would like to 'pass a good time' again.

I have no doubt the metal valve extenders are worthwhile and I'll be obtaining them in the future. The hubcaps or simulators are completely cosmetic and serve no useful purpose. I didn't discard mine. When I get the extenders or if I decide to trade, I can always snap them back on.

I do have valve extenders, but the flex metal mesh kind that I will be replacing with metal soon. The problem was that I was trying to add air to my inside tire and the air would not go in to the tire. I could deflate the tire but not inflate it. Even with the cover removed I couldn't get to the valve stem. Took it to a tire place and they managed to inflate it, but very slowly. I'll be getting new extenders when I get back from Bristol.

OP here. Thanks for all the replies. It turned out that there were not two marked bolt covers. They were all the same and the cover just pried off like the front wheels do. I eventually pushed in on all of the covers and they all moved in indicating that they were not attached to anything.
Thanks for all the help and ideas. What a great forum this is.

But 'If it squawks, you must take off!"

To somewhat channel the spirit of a Class C mentor, klhutch, on these forums: "Class C Boldly; lose those silver bling hubcaps and Go C-Trucky!"

Or just wimp out and worry about resale...

It still leaves me dumbfounded that neither the chassis nor the coach factories provide any information regarding this issue.

Is there a name anywhere on the type of Chrome wheel simulators? Mine say Pacific Dualies. You can see the picture of how the simulator fits over the rim, then the lug nuts, and finally a center cap clicks on covering all the lug nuts. The one shown has retainer screws, mine merely pop on like old hub caps.

Tap on them and the 2 that sound solid are the real nuts that hold the simulators on.
