Queen and King bed options on the 24 foot Diesels

My wife and I want to sleep in either a Queen or King size bed. The queen size beds in the 24 ft diesels we are considering fold in half with a rear bump out. We were told by the salesperson that we would have to remake the bed every night because of this. A real negative in out opinion.

Today I was talking to an acquaintance about RVs, and he said that's a miss-conception. If you make the bedding tight, or use clips, you can fold and unfold without having the bedding come undone. My wife doesn't believe this.

Your experience would be appreciated.

P.S. Anyone have a Winn. View 24V with the double twins that convert into a King. If so, what has been your experience.
  • Our 24 ft View has a king size in the crow's nest and a fold-out couch in addition to the dinette/bed.

Crow's nest can be left as is but the other two need to be made up. Takes me about 1/2 or less for both, and that's with other occupants there.

  • We have a 2014 View Profile 24V, but we have not used the King bed yet. DW has a bad back and a knee replacement so we stowed one of the middle cushions and just use the twins.

This works well for us. Some day we may try the king, but for now it's easier not crawling into the king. You could leave the king bed made up, but it would make it hard to use the two draws in the isle under the bed.

We love our View. Wish we had one 10 years earlier.
  • We have the navion 24 v and we specifically wanted that model for the layout. We think the king is great, especially because the dog sleeps with us, so we needed the room. And we love being able to leave the bed as is. One of us can go to bed early or sleep late and the other can still use the rest of the Rv. It is hard to get into the drawers, but we keep less frequently used items in them.
  • We have a Forest River Solera24R and the rear slide queen bed comes in and out and we do not have to remake each time. Works very well and we also have a nice foam topper on top.
